Candlelighters of West Texas/Southern New Mexico

Candlelighters is dedicated to enriching the lives of children who have cancer by providing hope, support, encouragement, advocacy and education to those children, their families, and the community at large.

Financial Assistance

Family members must find ways to cope with the suffering and possible loss of their loved one, and in most cases suffer severe financial impact. Candlelighters has long been devoted to serving the needs and improving the quality of life for children diagnosed with cancer and their family members.

Therapeutic/Emotional Services

A childhood cancer diagnosis and its aftermath can be devastating for the child and his/her entire family, but medical insurance does not always cover the cost of counseling. Candlelighters will help families cope with psychological burdens by offering service and support for professional counseling services.

Social/Recreation Services

The need for quality, summer, recreational programs for children with cancer and their siblings continues to grow. Our summer camps strive to bring together kids undergoing similar struggles in hopes of strengthening, uniting, and overcoming obstacles.
